Monkey Island

On Monkey Island, tourists will meet “capuchins,” cute primates who are happy to pose and try to steal something. If you’re lucky, you might see a sloth sprawled out in the treetops. iguanas and polecats, which look more like big rats, are running around. At the local serpentarium you can meet Panamanian snakes. There are almost 80 species of snakes in the reserve of Soberania, where Gamboa is located. And more than 100 species of wild animals. It is especially interesting to watch them at night, during a special excursion.
